For insurance purposes all athletes must be registered with Windy City Water Polo and be current in their membership with American Water Polo or USA Water Polo in order to participate in Windy City Water Polo practices, games or tournaments. Athletes will not be allowed to enter the water without meeting this criteria. We recommend that all of our athletes become members of America Water Polo. In order to participate in many of the leagues Windy City participates in, you need to be a member of American Water Polo. AMERICAN WATER POLO provides a comparable insurance program to USA Water Polo but is much less expensive for each individual family and for our club. If you are currently participating in USA Water Polo's Olympic Development program, you will need to be a gold member of USA Water Polo. There are also two tournaments which Windy City has participated in the past, the Junior Olympics in the summer and the Turbo Cup in the fall that will require each athlete selected to be a gold member of USA Water Polo. We will decide whether we'll participate in and who will be on those teams at the beginning of the summer or the beginning of the fall. Our suggestion is to become a AWP member, and if selected to the Turbo Cup, Junior Olympic event or if you want to participate in the Olympic Development Program, you can also sign up with USA Water Polo. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT WHICH ORGANIZATION TO SIGN UP WITH, PLEASE TALK WITH COACH KYLE PERRY.
Congratulations to Matthew Farmer and Jacob Himmel for being selected to the United States Junior National Team.
Congratulations to the HS girls for their 2nd place finish at the American Water Polo National State Challenge and to the boys for their 9th place finish.
Congratulations to our 14U Girls for finishing 11th place at the Turbo Cup 2011. Congratulations also to Drew Johnson who took home the Maureen O'Toole Award.
